Glycerin
Doral Energy is a biodiesel and glycerin producer that is strategically located in Doral, Florida, with a production capacity of up to 10 million gallons per year (MMGY) of biodiesel. It is a zero-waste facility that can process a wide range of feedstocks to produce biodiesel and high purity glycerin as a by-product.

Biodiesel is a renewable, clean-burning alternative fuel produced from domestic renewable sources such as vegetable oils, animal fats, or recycled cooking oils. It is a clean energy solution that meets the biomass-based diesel and advanced biofuel requirements of the United State's Renewable Fuel Standard (RIN) to reduce emissions and lower foreign oil dependence. Biodiesel is biodegradable, non-toxic, and free of sulfur and aromatics.

As a substitute for petroleum-based diesel, the use of biodiesel results in decreased greenhouse gas emissions. Doral Energy's capacity would be equivalent to mitigating over 80,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year. In addition, the use of recycled materials contributes towards pollution reduction.

Through the conversion of domestic renewable sources into biodiesel, Doral Energy plays a key role in reducing Florida's 77 MMGY biodiesel deficit and decreasing greenhouse gas emissions through displacement of petroleum diesel use. Process and automation upgrades have recently been commissioned to allow for added flexibility.

CASE STUDIES
Balfour Energy
Balfour Energy
DISTRIBUTED ENERGY PROJECT
Balfour Energy was developed as a means to provide the offtaker with cost-effective electricity relative to the Ontario electricity grid as well as reliable power quality, which was unavailable from the local distribution company.
Seacliff Energy
Seacliff Energy
BIOENERGY PROJECT
Seacliff Energy was one of the first facilities of its kind in North America when it was initially commissioned in 2011. The facility recycles 110,000 tonnes/year of organic residuals from agricultural, commercial, and municipal sources.

Leamington RNG
Leamington RNG
BIOENERGY PROJECT
Leamington RNG is a facility currently under development in Leamington, Ontario for the conversion of biogas produced from the anaerobic digestion of organic residuals into pipeline quality renewable natural gas (RNG) for injection into the Enbridge Inc. natural gas distribution network.
Southgate Renewables
Southgate Renewables
BIOENERGY PROJECT
Southgate Renewables is a facility currently under development in Dundalk, Ontario for the processing and conversion of source separated organics (SSO) into biogas which is then upgraded to renewable natural gas (RNG). The facility will recycle 73,000 tonnes/year of SSO from "green bin" programs from municipalities throughout Ontario.
Voisey's Bay Wind
Voisey's Bay Wind
DISTRIBUTED ENERGY PROJECT
The Voisey's Bay Wind project is being developed in partnership with Vale S.A., the world's largest producer of nickel, at their Voisey's Bay Mine located in Northern Labrador. The goal of the project is to provide Vale with cost-effective renewable electricity and also reduce the carbon footprint of the mining operation by displacing diesel fuel use.
